    AA Travel Limited today announces that it has acquired Driveline Europe Ltd.

    Commenting on the deal Andrew Goodsell, Chairman and Chief Executive, The AA said:
    "We are delighted to welcome Driveline into the AA family. As the UK’s pre-eminent motoring organisation we saw Driveline Europe as a good fit with the AA and a great base from which to build a holiday company focussed on the needs of AA members."

    Ian Coghlan, Chief Executive of AA Travel Services said:
    "An increasing number of people are travelling on self drive European short breaks, AA members will now have the confidence to buy European self-drive holidays from the AA - a brand they trust. We will develop new holidays and exclusive deals for AA members."

    Nicole Murray, one of the existing founders of the business, is continuing as sales and marketing director. Whilst Dean Brazier the Co founder is pursuing his business interests overseas.

    Driveline Europe is based in Shefford, Bedfordshire. It has 25 staff and has been trading for over 17 years providing European self-drive holidays by ferry and eurotunnel and short breaks by Eurostar.
